Project 2 : Measured Drawing

In a group of 39, the second project is to produce a set of measured drawings of the historical building that we assigned to, as known as Lian Huat Company, penang. It is an on-site exercise where we were required to execute fieldwork and hands-on measurement exercise. In order to carry out a set of high accuracy drawings, we were divided into 2 or 3 ppl a group to measure and record down every single structure and detail of the building. During the process, we were facing a lot of difficulties  due to the old building structure, which has more than 100 years history. However, we managed to solve every problem at the end. Beside of producing a set of drawings, we have made a 1:50 scale model for displaying.

 Recognize and recall techniques of measured drawing and documentation
 Explain the as-built building constructions, architectural details and elements

 Execute fieldwork and hands-on measurement exercise
 Translate measured data into scaled drawings
 Produce a report on the buildings highlighting its importance and historical significance
