Project 1 : Case Study: Analysing passive design strategies

In a group of 6, we required to choose a building in Klang Valley. Sime Darby The Idea house was the building we had done the analysis for this project. The intention of this project was to make us to learn and identify the principles of heat transfer in relation to building and people. By the chance,  it let us to be more understood about relationship between thermal comfort and the building design.
The best two passive design strategy that The Sime Darby The Idea featuring are sun-shading and natural ventilation. Throughout the project. i able to explain the effects of the sun on the thermal performance of Sime Darby The Idea House. thus, by collecting the data and the helps of Revit, it made us to gain more understanding about the intention of the design strategy such as the orientation of the building, the locations of openings and the design of the house.
